I know they can’t be in carry-ons, but I’m trying to find out if I can pack tire chains in my checked luggage upon an airplane. I can’t find anything about it on TSA’s website, so I assume I can, but thought maybe I could confirm it with someone who would know for sure?

When inquiring about the tire size of my car do I just need to give the last two numbers or the entire number?

The size listed is P212/70R15, I need to call the auto parts store about buying some tire chains. Do I read off the entire number combo, or just “15″ when he asks for tire size?

I am curious as to which states require tire chains during the winter months. Thank you?

I am planning a ski trip and understand I need to at least have tire chains with me. Anyone know where to buy them (I’m guessing walmart?) and about how much they cost?
