How much damage can running over a full tire do?
Kayla B asked:
I ran over a full tire going about 65 down the interstate. I hit is straight on in the center of the car. Now about 3 weeks later I have noticed that my left front bumper has been damaged however, it is directly in front of the left front tire… could this still have been because of the tire or someone hitting me in a parking lot?

Any effect of running one slightly thinner tire than the other 3?

My tires are 265/75/16. I have one that is badly warped and I need it replaced quick. The only one I’ve found right away is a 245/75/16…I drive a 4×4 SUV (full-size) and the tire that needs replaced is the front driver side. Will running a 20mm thinner tire pose any risk? I only need to drive 1500 miles before I will replace all 4. Thanks!
Well to me, 20mm difference is nothing. I wonder, visibly, if it will even be noticeable. I’m questioning whether it poses any danger risk or will potentially damage the other tires or mess up anything in the suspension, steering etc. I’m not an automotive expert and definitely not a tire expert.
I should also note the tire is a different brand, but like my current tires, is LT rated for mud and snow.
I do have a full-size spare as an option as well…I’m not sure of the exact size.

The question is for commercial drivers. is it legal to install a plug in 1 of the tires for use on the road?

my employer is installing plugs in the tires and running them at the tread wear limit. I am concerned with the daily inspection report i have to do and sign that it is safe to operate. and if not can i be held responsible if i have a blowout and it causes an accident?
