My tires are 265/75/16. I have one that is badly warped and I need it replaced quick. The only one I’ve found right away is a 245/75/16…I drive a 4×4 SUV (full-size) and the tire that needs replaced is the front driver side. Will running a 20mm thinner tire pose any risk? I only need to drive 1500 miles before I will replace all 4. Thanks!
Well to me, 20mm difference is nothing. I wonder, visibly, if it will even be noticeable. I’m questioning whether it poses any danger risk or will potentially damage the other tires or mess up anything in the suspension, steering etc. I’m not an automotive expert and definitely not a tire expert.
I should also note the tire is a different brand, but like my current tires, is LT rated for mud and snow.
I do have a full-size spare as an option as well…I’m not sure of the exact size.

Got a flat tire. Is it ok to replace tire w/ another of the same size yet different manufacturer?

I recently got a flat tire that couldnt be patched up. So i needed to buy a new tire. I couldnt find the exact manufacturer of the tire except at the dealership and they charged way too much. Is it ok to get another tire with the same exact size and specs except made by a different manufacturer? My old tire was a Bridgestone Potenza and the new one I’m going to get is a Toyo. Does it matter that the treads are not the same?

I know I’m being very vague, not having exact measurements and all, but I’m wondering how much tires for 20″ wheels generally go for. Again, I’m not sure of the exact size, but the low profile tires for 20″ wheels. Thanks!
