how much do airlines spend on tires each year for a typical passenger jet, say a Boeing 737?
For a typical airline (American, United, Delta), how much do they spend for a typical airliner (Boeing 737, 757, MD88) each year on tires? Do they use re-treds? How many take-off’s/landings do they get out of a tire? I would assume the main gear tires wear out faster than the nose tires, is that true? How much do these tires cost?
Thanks for your help!

Aircraft tires can carry heavy loads at tremendous speeds, unlike the regular car tires….so is possible for the material used for aircraft tires be molded into a size of a regular car tire and be used effectively for brakes and jumping cars over high heights?
How many tires does an average 747 go through?
I was watching something on 20/20 or one of those shows and they said that on average a 767 in it’s lifetime will have it’s wheels changed like 50 times, and it will go through 12 engines. The numbers were very high, i thought. Anyone know on average how many engines, tires, and other replaceable things that an average 747 goes through in its life time?
